| New Appointments At Maiow |
Creative branding agency Maiow has recruited Sally Townsend
as new business director and Bill Hunt as strategic planning
director. The two new appointments coincide with the development of
a far more strategic creative and branding proposition for the
company.
Hunt brings nine years marketing experience to his
role, his most recent position being creative director of Village PR
where he worked with guerrilla marketing agency Cunning on the
strategy behind the launch of the new MINI and created consumer
campaigns for camera makers Nikon.
Townsend joins from
Viacom Outdoor where, as sponsorship manager, she oversaw the
Carling Live Underground Music sponsorship of legalised buskers.
Hunt comments: "We've joined Maiow at an exciting time. Our
job will be to ensure that our clients' brand opportunities are
exploited across all marketing disciplines, from public relations to
ambient media."
The appointments come alongside the departure
of Maiow's creative director Mai Ikuzawa, who has left the company
to pursue personal projects. Mai founded the company in 1999, and
has, over the last five years, developed the business, clients and
staff base. "The time just seemed right for me to move on. The team
is now creatively stronger than ever before, so I feel this allows
me to pursue my own personal projects," she said. Keane-Dawson says
she will miss Mai's original view of the world, and her pet pug
Buddha who was also the company mascot. "I wish Mai the greatest of
success in her new projects." |
