Maiow appoints two as founder Ikuzawa leaves agency
Staff, Brand Republic 15-04-2004 10:00

Maiow: Townsend and Hunt

LONDON - Branding agency Maiow has appointed two new senior staff members, including Bill Hunt as strategic planning director, as creative director and founder Mai Ikuzawa leaves the company.

Hunt was most recently creative director of Village PR, where he worked with guerrilla marketing agency Cunning (formerly known as Cunning Stunts) on projects including the BMW Mini launch and Nikon.

The second senior hire is Sally Townsend who joins as new business director from Viacom Outdoor, where she was sponsorship manager, working on the Carling Live Underground Music sponsorship of legal buskers.

The appointments come as the company develops a more strategic creative and brand proposition.

Ikuzawa founded Maiow in 1999 and is leaving to pursue personal projects.

"The time just seemed right for me to move on. The team is now creatively stronger than ever before so I feel this allows me to pursue my own personal projects," Ikuzawa.

Maiow clients include Investors in People, brake manufacturer Akebono and the upmarket car service Blueback.
